Mapex Black Panther Retrosonic Kit

This is Mapex's Black Panther Retrosonic Kit. It is made of walnut. It is about $2,350. That's insane. Honestly, I don't care if it's "100% walnut." It looks like a big rasin. It doesn't even come with a snare...... it's an add on!Plus, it sounds bad. No wonder they only made 25 of them. Why would any person in their right mind pay for a kit that looks like a rasin and sounds like it's made of trashcans. A big waste of money and my time. Don't buy it.                                                                                                                          - Drummer Boy

Pearl's New "Throne Thumper"

Pearl's New "Throne Thumper"
Pearl has partnered up with Buttkicker, and has released the Throne Thumper. It is an attachment that you put on the bottom of your drum throne (seat) and it lets the drummer feel low frequencies, such as a bass guitar or a bass drum. Most drummers would use this during a concert to feel the speed of the music when they can't hear it. That way it would help them stay on beat and not speed up or slow down. It is about $285.00. To me, that's pretty expensive, but I'd say it's worth it if you play professionally and it's super loud the whole time you're playing. I haven't been able to use one, although I'd like to, It would be pretty cool to play with one. It can go on any drumset. At first, I thought it could only go on electric drumsets, but I was wrong. I would  definitely buy one if I had the money, but until then I guess I'm stuck without. But it's a very cool thing to have.
